Nike Lunar Skyelux – Off-Court Comfort

Today we get another first look from @thebasketballshoes‘s IG account at an off-court, after-game recovery shoe from Nike called the Lunar Skyelux. Looking like a beefed-up Lunar Racer, the Skyelux appears to have an Engineered Mesh upper for comfort, Flywire for support (no idea why support is needed AFTER a game), and a bootie construction under the ‘Wire.

One thing to note, that is a THICK sole, with tons of flex, so they should be comfy and plush.

More details, such as release date and pricing, as soon as we get them. As always, leave us thoughts below if you think these are a must.

  1. What is the point of an after-game recover shoe? Are regular sneakers no good during after-game recovery?

    1. A lot of the time shoes that are made for sports are made for the surface that’s being played on as well and when you take them out onto asphalt or something like that it shortens the life expectancy of the shoe’s performance for it’s intended use.

  2. Those look awesome. I have plantar fasciitis and flat and narrow feet, so these should help my feet recover after games.

  3. Wonder how nice the duolon feels, because i really like the lunarlon feel of shoes like the kobe 8-11, and lunarglide etc etc

  4. I got a pair of these to run in and they are phenomenal! The upper is a little loose if you don’t get in it with the flywire, but aside form that, they are super comfortable. I ran one of my fastest mile times in them after only wearing them one time. I had no leg fatigue the entire time and afterwards had very little (mostly shin splint-type pain, but only a little and I think it was from my feet getting used to the way the shoes fit). I would love to see an official “Weartesters” wear review on them!! They have been out for about a month now and I’d like to see what someone else thinks about them. Won’t change my opinion, but I’m hoping to get some feedback on how they feel in relation to how someone that has worn a bunch of different shoes thinks they stack up.
Thanks for all you hard work Weartesters!! It really does help when picking out $100 + pairs of shoes on a public servants budget 😉
