You can enjoy our detailed look and review video below along with detailed images. We’ll be wear-testing the shoe and have a performance review ready by the time they release on June 18th. Retail is $150, which is a great price point for a signature model.

  1. Fucking awesome that you got them early enough to have the review out before they hit retail. Appreciate the hard work that you will put in to getting the review out in time, It means a lot to us ballers with a limited budget that have to take risks on shoes that would potentially sell out soon after their release date. Really looking forward to your performance grades and thoughts on them and hope you really enjoy them. Keep up the top notch work NW.

      1. It’s an initial thoughts video on a shoe that will have a performance review soon. This has been his formula for years, introduce the shoe and give his first thoughts upon receiving it and then playing in it extensively and giving the full performance review when he is convinced he has all the appropriate data.

  2. One piece upper? THAT IS REAL FLYKNIT? ✔ Fully articulated 360 zoom? ✔ *Down half a size for that 100% containment?*✔ *Spiritual successor to Lebron 10?*✔ Only retail for 150? ✔✔✔ BASED LEO CHANG. who knows if kd will win a ring as ATM he’s wearing it in playoffs, and totally killing the dubs. This is an amazing shoe from Nike for a great price, can’t wait for the performance review and my own pair!!!

  3. Great review, this is definitely one of the most anticipated releases this year.(plus I LOVE he’s debuting them early, in the Playoffs, much better than any Elite, or .5)

    1. Bojan man, you are probably from one of the ex-Yu states, too. I was taught by pretty much all my coaches throughout to double-sock 🙂 The habit has stuck with me until the day, and I always had people in the lockerrooms giving me a funny look when they see me doubling up.

      1. Exactly ! Only true ball players double sock… When we had practices , for so many hours , there was no other option… comfort wise , it was only solution… or your feet were going to have a lot off cuts , and blisters… Veliki pozdrav !

        1. Man, do I loath when I hear or read “only true ball players…”. “True ball players” do exactly what makes them comfortable. Whether that be double socking, wearing no shows, rocking some Wal-Mart Shaq’s or whatever the case may be. True ball players never say true ball player. Just a pet peeve of mine. Cringe anytime it’s written or said aloud lol.

With that, going true to size if you double sock may be fine. Breaking these in on the left shoe was pretty painful due to the seam in the middle so double socking could cause more discomfort, but that would only be in the beginning. Once you warm them up, stretch them out, and get some moisture inside the shoe then things will loosen up for you.

I’d really recommend trying them on once they release though. Hopefully that’s an option for you. KD’s have had the most random sizing out of all the signature lines. Some KD’s I’ve gone up 1/2 size, some true to size, and others 1/2 size down. It’s the most frustrating thing to deal with, especially if you can only shop online. But yeah, try them on once they release, and I’d try them on exactly the way you’ll be playing in them; with double socks, brace etc.

          1. hahaha nightwing you are crazy man… it is more than obvious that you haven’t played ball on some serious level… double sock can save your life in some situations… try to train three times a day , there was no shoe then (90’s), (maybe there is now ??) that won’t cut into your foot… i play now pick up games , for 60 minutes , so it doesn’t matter now, i prefer good cushion because a fucked up my knees… and these seems like they have it, but thanks for the advice, we all appreciate what you are doing.

            1. Its more than obvious that your ignorance is on another level. I’ll never understand why some people are so insecure with themselves that they feel the need to try and cut down others solely based on the fact that they don’t do things the same. Not every player double socks. Sorry. Glad you appreciate it though.

        2. Bojan is not true name of a “true ball player”.. and playing basketball on any level can be “serious level” but much props to you for playing on the junior high team although I do remember some schools don’t cut players from the team even if they suck (as it hurts their confidence). Please change your name to Bojangles.

  4. you don’t double sock all the times, and it is not about the style or something else… it is sometimes necessary , because you put so much force on cuts , jumps etc, that can make your feet sore , with blisters and rip you skin , that hurts … and you still have to go to another practice or play game… don’t worry i am not cutting you down , my opinion is that you don’t have to be some kind professional athlete, to wear-test shoes… you love shoes and you have feel and sense for wear-testing, otherwise i would be an idiot to follow your reviews…

    1. Not cutting you down then ends off with more attempts at cutting people down lol. I’m in my 30’s. Back in High School we’d train throughout the school year then during the summer it was off to training camps and shooting camps. We’d train, scrimmage, play, train some more. Every day, from 8am to 8pm. I never double socked because I personally felt it to be uncomfortable. Simple as that. Not sure why that’s so hard for you to understand. I never once said those that double sock arent true ball players. Never once said anything negative about those that double sock at all. I’d be a complete moron to do something like that. To think that someone elses preference and comfort is anything less than my own. I’m mean, I’d be insane to think that way.

    2. what the hell? i’ve trained two or three times a day in high school, and i’ve never double socked in my life…even now i play pickup for 4-5 hours at a go, full court, no quarter given, and i don’t do it, you must have some strange feet, bruh

  5. I agree man, that double sock thing and true ball players was more said as a joke at first place 🙂 europe humour 🙂

  6. dude you fired up when i said “true ball players”… and we all know why… that is stupid, i wish you read my post above… keep up the good work !

    1. I wasn’t fired up. Even threw in the lol to make sure you knew that. “We all know why” – are you throwing jabs again? Damn, man. This age of the internet brings out the wildest hiding behind a keyboard type of person the world has even seen. Or not seen, since they hide behind a keyboard. You can stop replying with the weak remarks and disses though. I get what you’re saying. You’re a better ball player. I’m not a “true ball player”, I get it. Let me know when you’d like to show everyone your true ball player skills. I’d love to see it.

      1. Bojan sounds like a straight bench player on the JR high team to me even behind the keyboard. Probably trying up his confidence as most irresponsibility 16 year old boys do.

  7. i wasn’t jabbing … like i said, you don’t have to be professional athlete to wear-test … but i was thinking about something else, that not everybody shares my opinion on that matter …

  8. Hey Nightwing,

Do you think that you could fit an ankle brace into the collar of these? I’m loving the Lillard 2’s right now, and even though the collar is tight I can fit the brace in because of how stretchy the collar is. But if the collar on these doesn’t stretch, that could be an issue.I had to pass on the lebron 13’s because of the way the top laces bunched on the brace, really hoping that these might fit better.

  9. When do you plan on having a performance review up, and what are your initial thoughts if you’ve played in them already?

  10. I think the fit will be trash based of looking at it. it looks like your foot would move everywhere when cutting or stopping suddenly. based off wearing them is the fit ok?
