It isn’t strange to see Swoosh come back with Retro shoes that we all love. However, now the brand has decided to bring back a classic model with updated higher quality materials. The Nike Hyperdunk 2008 was a shoe ahead of its time. We all remember the 2008 USA Redeem Team all rocking these and bringing back the Gold medal to the USA. This time, Nike decided to give the shoe a little swag.
The shoe features a low cut fit along with a suede/nubuck material that’s lined along the entire midfoot. A neoprene bootie collar is integrated into the silhouette with a large foam heel counter and an all white rubber outsole.
The shoe “supposedly” features a heel Zoom Air unit and a Lunar midsole from it’s original build. However, it seems like some recent release models don’t even feature the Zoom Air in the heel, and just injected Phylon midsole rather than sticking to Lunar (thank the fastpass deconstructions for that tip). We’re hoping the shoe features all the nooks and crannies its original had.
The shoe looks pretty cool with off-court appeal, so if you’re interested, you can purchase them for $130 as they are now readily available here.
