Nike Black Mamba 24 Deconstructed

Long-7 is back at it and this time around they are taking apart the Nike Black Mamba 24.

This take-down model of the Kobe line is built for outdoor hoops with a Fuse upper and XDR outsole but the part I found strange was the lack of forefoot cushion as they opted for heel Zoom instead. Just a bit out of character for the Kobe line.

Take a look and let me know if you have a pair and if so, how do you like them?

  1. I actually prefer having heel cushioning instead of the just the forefoot. But whats with the small heel unit aren’t these suppose to be a least 10-14mm in thickness. I like how these foam underneath the zoom but they should of at least made the the zoom 8mms thick this looks like its 5mm.

  2. It makes sense to have zoom in the heel for outdoor ball in order to prevent heel bruises. I never understood why the hyperfuse series only had it in the forefoot. Right now I’m balling in the Nike Air Max Quarter which has air max in the heel and I’m really enjoying them for playing outdoors.

  3. this model is very expensive in our country, and it only has a heel zoom unit?! rather have forefoot zoom for bouncy run push-off.
