The Nike Air Stab is one of the classic AM silhouettes I’m happy to see return in 2015. The latest colorway, a subtle homage to the Nike Air Max 95 ‘Neon’, is drop dead sexy and I’ll tell you why.
First off, the suede and mesh Cool Grey upper is just that, cool. It isn’t loud, it doesn’t show off, it just provides a classic base. Second, the black and grey midsole was a phenomenal choice. The black teeth come down over the Air Bubble with great contrast against the grey midsole, something you need in a dope Nike Air Stab colorway–if you don’t showcase those awesome teeth, what’s the point? Finally, the neon hits on the heel Nike Air, tongue, uppermost eyelets, and most importantly, the Air Stab branding are just killer. They set off the shoe perfectly, both in the homage to the ‘Neon’ AM 95 and against the Cool Grey and black. The shoe is somber, fierce, and GR heat.
I don’t normally love shoes like this latest Nike Air Stab — shoes that draw from classic colorways — but I will absolutely be copping these when they drop. There is no release date as of now but these official images below hint at a release in the coming weeks. Thoughts? Share them below.
