Nike Air Flightposite Retro – 2014

Thank you based Goddess of victory! Or, Nike for short…

Nike will be releasing the real Nike Air Flightposite in Retro form in 2014 and all I can say is… “YES!!!!”. It looks like they’ll be utilizing printed graphics on the Foamposite shell – this pair features a Carbon Fiber print – which I’m not too thrilled about but hey, it could be worse… they could’ve printed Zebra stripes all over the shoe and painted it silver and red in such a way that all you can do is stare and scratch your head is utter confusion.

Not sure when these will be releasing 2014 and I don’t care… just knowing they’ll be coming out is enough for me. Unless they choose not to re-release any of the original colorways… then I’ll be pissed.

this is my favorite shoe to play in of all time….they’re heavy as hell and they don’t breathe at all (obviously), but the year and a half that i played in these were the happiest days of my amateur basketball career…it also helps that they are indestructible, i played in these indoors, outdoors, on blacktops, in the rain, in the sun, in the cold, whatever…this is excellent, excellent news.

Those are not bad except for the look of the sides.

We’ll never know until they release. Nike and zoom have not been doing well recently but hopefully they can deliver on a retro.

These are great, however you did slip a bit here Nightwing! These were an ORIGINAL COLORWAY, very limited and quite hard to find. It was one of the first times that a pattern was placed on a sneaker, and the carbon fiber texture could really be felt on it. Nevertheless, these will be copped, hopefully they are not as limited as they were back in the day.

I think you’re right. I only saw the gold, white, silver, black and eggplants on shelves but I do recall seeing these in a catalog. My bad!

Actually, the OG carbon fiber was a textured material rather than the straight-out print/paint on this 2014 version. You can tell the difference by the high-gloss coating on the newer version whereas the OG is more of a matte-black (but still shiny). While I’d prefer the original, this version will still be copped!

I am suprised all the love these are getting, these did not sell well at all when the OG’s released. Homeslice in the Pic is rockin pure radiation in the Air more Uptemo red with Black “AIR”, back in 96 i just had the all black white out line when Nordtsrom used to sell dope Nike’s – never privelege to even see those upclose.

i hope they will change the zipper a bit, when i zipped up my OG pair , the zipper will bite into my leg.
make the tongue a bit higher will fix this problem.

P.S. the zoom air bags are imbedded in the insole,
so make use of that, you can pull them out and put them into the shoes you think in need of cushioning.
When my pair of flightposite fell apart, i swap the insole with AJ I, and they instantly became a on court beast. (still cant compare to the newest kicks, but good enough to play).

Is there zoom also in the shoe or just the insole?
