Meet the Jordan Extra.Fly

Meet the Jordan Extra.Fly, the latest performance model from Jordan Brand.

These utilize the same tooling from the Jordan Ultra.Fly, so traction and likely cushion will be identical. The cushion setup on the Jordan Ultra.Fly was an articulated Zoom Air unit that was bottom loaded coupled with a Phylon midsole. It looks as if these sport a mesh upper with fuse overlays in high-wear areas along with a synthetic heel panel with modern design flare.

No word on when these will hit US retailers, but they look as if they’re already available now in Japan. Let us know what you think of the latest on-court model from Jordan Brand below in the comment section and stay tuned for updates.

    1. Nah Kawhi’s too good for that. Probably gonna rock the XXX or XX9. I can’t see him rocking the XXXI’s.

  1. So they kept the poor cushion and traction from the Ultrafly, but replaced the upper, which was its best feature. Thats, umm…interesting decision making.

  2. The shoe looks nice from my point of view, but i am not sure if it is going to perform in a good level

  3. Nike needs someone who can actually name stuff
    “hyperdunk” “hyperize” “hypermax” “hyperfuse” “hyperetc”
    “superfly” “ultrafly” “extrafly” “xxxfly”

    man.

    1. They have a CP3-style cut, so they’d be in-between 5/8th, and 3/4. Not low enough to free your ankles completely, not high enough to completely cover them.

  4. Meh. Hopefully just a low version of the Ultra.Fly and not a full on replacement. I’d like to see them use the kurim upper with better cushion setup.
