Marc Dolce and Jon Wexler Flaunt the adidas Futurecraft

If you are an adidas fan and aren’t stalking Jon Wexler’s Instagram feed, you might be slipping. As the VP of adidas Global Entertainment and Influence Marketing, Wexler gets and sees everything before it drops.

Just hours ago, Wexler posted an on-foot look at the adidas Futurecraft, the Three Stripes’ version of a 3D printed shoe. Seeing these shoes on the feet of Marc Dolce could mean that they’re coming soon, but as of right now there is no official release date for them.

The adidas Futurecraft is a 3D printed sneaker that doesn’t use any gluing or stitching. Rather, it takes the UltraBoost design and utilizes a 3D printed Primeknit upper (to see that production process check out the video below) and an engineered 3D web structure that is denser in areas that need reinforcement.

If this 3D printed sneaker comes in at $200 or $250 instead of Under Armour’s $300 offering, would you cop? I really enjoy how the 3D midsole is off-white, not white. Let us know in the comments down below.

    1. Yep, got me thinking on the cleaning side too.

Shoe is great and all that (ultraboost style + 3D web structure) but if it’s a pain the a** to clean then. I’d hate to ruin a $250 shoe by cleaning it with toothpicks lol

I know it is still in it’s infancy but I’d like to see what color combinations they can use on that midsole.
