An Official Look at the Under Armour Curry 3 ‘DubNation’

UACurry3-Sidenagle

Anticipation…that’s all there is for the Under Armour Curry 3 signature shoe and we’re anxious to weartest these bad boys — and we’re getting antsy. It isn’t just because a lot of us are Dubs fans, but it’s also the minor price increase. We really want to see if the lightly hiked price fits the performance. We had previously shown you the Black/Taxi colorway, however there’s nothing like seeing the actual team colorway.

The awesome thing about the release is the tech specs/storyboard that comes along with the shoe which state the following:

  • Threadborne S*:  High tension threads woven intelligently to deliver the ideal mix of directional support and Breathability
  • Meta Wing Plates: Lateral and medial carbon fiber pinions act as stabilizers to assist the foot in transition of forward motion.
  • Carbon Fiber Midfoot Shank: Carbon fiber plate helps maintians torsional ragidity
  • Molded Heel/Quarter Chassis: Combination of molded lightweight structural foam and performance textile located from the heel to the medial quarter, delivered on both comfort and protection
  • Dynamic Midsole Frame:  Raised foam counter blended into the midsole with UA Charged Foam creates the sensation of “Dynamic Containment”
  • Contoured Outsole: One Piece rubber bottom unit provides traction and flexibility

With a November 5 release date and a price point of $140, we’re very curious to see how this shoe performs, especially compared to its predecessors.

What do you think of UA including the spec sheet card? Any thoughts on the design? Let us know what you think in the comments and make sure you stay locked to WearTesters.com for all upcoming information regarding the Curry 3 and the performance reviews to follow.

  1. Yeah idk, the back still looks too boxy for my tastes. But I did love the gunmetal grey colorway they showed a while back. This specific colorway isn’t doing it for me. But we’ll see how I feel once they officially drop in-store and I can feel em.

  2. I think that they will perform just good enough for the price, but wouldn’t be worth if they were 150…as for that you can get amazing materials, cushion, traction, in either high or low top in the KD9/Crazy Explosive. Probably an average performer by today’s standards as they 2’s were (used to be my favorite)
