Li-Ning Way of Wade 4 Tech Specs

It looks like Li-Ning is going back to basics with their upcoming Way of Wade 4, and I couldn’t be any happier.

You can see in the breakdown below that they’ve ditched their 4-Layered system previously used on the WoW 3, and went with their traditional tooling setup that we’ve all gotten accustomed to from the start of the line. BounSe is found in the forefoot while CushioN is placed in the heel. All of which is supported by an EVA/ Phylon carrier. They’ve reduced the size of the carbon fiber shank – finally – which used to extend from the midfoot all the way through the forefoot; causing the shoe to be very stiff and rigid. An Ortholite liner and rubber outsole are also in place…but that’s nothing new.

Check out the upcoming Way of Wade 4’s tech breakdown below and share your thoughts in the comment section.

  1. nice to see them giving up on ventilation. i have some linings that had ventilation holes covered with 3 layers of plastic and other stuff. it broke my heart

  2. I notice this brand uses a thick carbon fiber at that
for lack of a better term.

Since they had Carbon Fiber Shank go from mid to forefoot, it must have been trying to be more like a spring plate.

When it comes to the use of Carbon Fiber in basketball shoes,
thickness, how it is shaped, and placement matters.

With changes the made to the tooling, it will be interesting how will the shoes perform.
