LBJ Rocked the Nike LeBron Soldier 10 for Game 3

If you’ve been reading WearTesters.com lately, you know that we’re excited for the Nike LeBron Soldier 10. A few days ago we saw some new colorways, and in April we got a first look at the newest Soldier iteration.

Last night, LeBron was out on the hardwood tearing sh*t up in the LeBron Soldier 10. The version he was rocking looks a lot like the black colorway we’d seen previously but murdered out; the Swoosh and midsole have lost their iridescence and are all blacked out. However, the translucent outsole remains.

Nike must obviously be ready to show the latest Soldier because there a ton of images on Getty of just LBJ’s shoes from last night…no, I don’t think that’s a coincidence. Here’s what the NBA IG account posted last night:

I wonder how much that costs…What I’m more interested in is what the LeBron Soldier 10 will cost. When we know, we’ll be sure to update you.

For now, what do you think of the tenth Soldier? Hopefully it’ll be a worthy successor to the 9, which was excellent. Share your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. I like the look!! Lebron should continue to wear the Soldier 10 throughout the Finals. He played like a Soldier last night. Cavs in 7.

      1. They don’t? They still have the best player in the league, they’ve been liming GS’s biggest threats, and GS role players can’t (and didn’t) continue to carry the load. They certainly have a chance. Do I think they WILL win? Probably not 😀

  2. Still gonna cope this. Hope this is a performer on court. Got the last 2 soldiers and wasn’t dissapointed with it.

  3. Damn! They look nice on feet! Hopefully they perform very well, with that thick ass zoom in the forefoot and the heel, 3 straps and good looking traction, this might be my choice instead of the KD9.

  4. I like it! It looks light and fast. No nonsense, just strap up and go.Too bad this colorway will probably never release

  5. Hah! thought he was. Tried to pause it several times to get a good glimpse and confirm, but had trouble.

  6. The 2 lower straps worry me. The top looks like it’ll function well but the lower 2 looks non-existent. (based on other photos)

    1. They just provide a little bit of extra snugness and lock down. The bottom strap on the soldier 9 didn’t do much even though it was connected to the flywire. with a one piece booty shoe, you don’t need much.

      1. I didn’t feel the flywire on the upper lateral side but i felt the medial side on mine. It really tightened up .I hope the 2 bottom straps actually work. Will wait patiently for a review.

  7. They’re still ugly as hell, but the all black kind of hides that. Its a good look for this shoe that Lebron wore it in the finals; it suggests that this is a solid performer. Its not a good look for the Elite, though, since he chose these instead.

  8. What makes this one look better is the black midsole. The Black Midsole almost masks the extra velcro that extends down. You definitely don’t see it as much so the shoe blends and looks cleaner. The other images with the velcro being a different color from the midsole make it look off to me.

    1. Totally this + they just look better on foot (imo),

The 9 was a crazy-smart design considering the impressive containment/lockdown was done on an upper simply made up of bootie and mesh (which wasn’t even structural). The thought of the 10’s having successfully-forward tweaks is hard to imagine. Cushion upgrade already draws me in.

  9. These look cool but I do recall seeing LeBron slipping and stumbling a few times during the game so I’m thinking that translucent rubber is gonna kill the performance.
