The Nike Kobe AD’s on-court performance has been quite underwhelming for us at WearTesters, if not downright terrible. Did you miss what we said? You in luck because you can check out the performance reviews here by NYJumpman23, Nightwing2303, and Jahronmon. None of us liked playing in these bricks but it’s still a cool looking sneaker.
The shoe features a red mesh upper along with the synthetic suede along the heel area and the tongue. The plastic heel counter also is in red with a shiny coating overlay. The outsole features the same traction nodules while the cushion has an underwhelming 8mm Zoom Air unit (and not a full heel Zoom unit). The forefoot cushion set up us supposedly Lunar foam, however, we’re all a little suspect due to the lack of responsiveness and cushioning we experienced.
This colorway is set to release on January 20 for $160 and should be available at all your Nike stores and Nike retailers. Do you plan on copping this red build? Does this colorway match your school colors? Or are you just a Kobe fan and require all the colorways? Let us know what you think down in the comments below.
