The Jordan Team Jumpman II ‘UCal’ Colorway is Set to Release

My dreams are becoming reality. Just a few days ago in my previous post about the Jordan Team Jumpman II Retro, I discussed hoping that Jordan would release the original colorway of the shoe. Seems like someone over in Portland has been listening (I’m just being humble and taking credit, all jokes aside) but in all honestly, this is the best colorway in my opinion.

Look at that colorway, how do you not love it? The white/college-blue/gold just stands out. In terms of materials, the midfoot seems to have gone the same route as the OG with the suede/nubuck midfoot overlay and grain leather along the other half of the shoe, including the ankle/heel collar. You can also see the words “JORDAN” wrapped along the midfoot, just like on the original pair, and the Jordan tag all along the ankle collar — as seen on the Air Jordan XIV (14).

I’m hoping the toebox utilizes tumbled leather instead of the synthetic and the heavier plated carbon fiber shank rather than the lighter one used, but again, that’s just me nitpicking and comparing from the original model since I’m such an enthusiast with the legacy. With that being said I definitely expect to bring this back into my collection as it brings back great memories from ’98, but also because it was an on-court performance beast. Big salute to Jordan Brand for releasing an anticipated colorway of the Jordan Team Jumpman II. You’ve definitely made my day.

The Jordan Jumpman Team II should be slowly releasing at your local Foot Locker. This particular colorway should hopefully soon release at Finish Line, and FootactionNike , and now readily available at Champs. There is no set release date on these yet, but it seems the price is staying the same as previous releases at $140. Keep it locked for more information on this particular release.

Let me know what you think in the comment section below. Have you been waiting for this colorway?

  1. now that i can afford a pair of Js i would still get the jordan team shoes. props to the photog for taking some amazing pictures. the shoe looks even better now than i remembered.

    1. Craftsmanship on them were really well put together. And I Agree, there are filters in the photography, but nothing like having them physically in hand. These will look good and perform well on beast. A big nod to Jordan Brand on releasing them.

  2. It’s great that you can enjoy them again.
After all this time the lettering on the midsole is still too loud, but in this colorway, the thickness of the font, goes well with the black lining of the collar.
And I never liked the very visible white laces/lacing. (I prefer that hidden look of the 13,the Jumpman Pro strong and of the Nike Air Vis Zoom Uptempo that I have.) Maybe reverse it and go with black laces instead: I don’t care that much to have it as OG as possible.

    1. Let’s not talk about the VIS ZOOM UPTEMPO w/ the Alpha project visible zoom, that was my Jam right there. I love it b/c it brings back so much memories, and it played extremely well on court. The retro plays super well also.

  3. I bought the Black out pair from my footlocker the other day but decided to return them and get it later at a discount. They are great looking shoes but I just know that they’ll become more affordable for what they are in the near future especially when I can apply more discount codes in addition to whatever they drop to.
