Jordan Super.Fly 2 PO Performance Review

Are we all done with the Playoff models yet?

The Jordan Super.Fly 2 PO won’t get the standard performance review based on the fact that they’re not incredibly different than the regular version. Main things to note about this model vs. the previous one is that the cushion and midsole start off pretty firm and will require a bit a break-in time and that the materials offer up a slightly different feeling.

To elaborate a bit on the materials; the SF2 PO feels nicer for me, on a personal level. I do wish the original feeling I had on the normal Super.Fly 2‘s cushion and midsole were featured here just so that the top portion of the shoe and the bottom portion of the shoe felt more cohesive but after the break-in period all was fine… just would’ve been nice to have it felt like they were broken-in straight out of the box but beggars can’t be choosers. Other than that, the upper is softer and more forgiving which equals less durability. Not a bad thing in my eyes as I’d rather have a little more mobility rather than feel restricted but some may feel the opposite. So in that sense, there is a version for everyone out there.

The one thing that hasn’t changed is that its still a great hoop shoe. Lets just hope the upcoming Super.Fly 3 is even better.

You can grab the colorway shown, as well as a few other, now over at Finish Line if you’re interested.

Jordan Super.Fly 2 PO Performance Review 1

  1. i tried them on and wasnt impressed with the flexibility and range of motion more for a big griffin guy than me..

  2. I hope they fixed the popping of the zoom bags in the PO version because my super.fly 2s zoom bags popped because of a crack on the traction that exposed the zoom bags, making them pop

  3. wow. I got a first try at these several weeks back and was surprised that the pair were on clearance for $100. Yes, $100. first I didn’t know they were the P.O. versions. they did look different from the regular SF2’s. first thing that got me wondering was the lace holes were different with flywire. secondly was that the upper was more weaved fabric than the conventional hyperfuse. I like the weaked fabric because they felt comfortable, fit and looked better than the cheapishly looking and constricting fuse tech. also, the tongue was different which was more padded mesh than the thin neoprene/plasticky tongue on the regulars. the sleeve I felt much better, maybe better padded. I liked the exterior heel cuff/cup design on the back a lot. and finally the cushion felt much better than regulars. a lot softer and responsive in my opinion.

as already mentioned, the front base of the shoe where the bags are located are more protruding or higher elevated which I felt much better than the regulars. I don’t know if they used a much bigger volume zoom bags but I felt they were more responsive than not.

was suppose to pick them up and had a hard time deciding before finally letting them go.

reason was, the C/W’s they had on clearance were abysmally cartoony. other than that, the performance, materials and feel was much better than the regulars. I am just wondering why Nike couldn’t to the same thing for the Elites for less. instead, you pay more for worse than the regulars.

    1. I’m definately down for some high volume zoom bags. I still have my OG Superflys they still fire!!!!!

  4. Amazing. A playoff shoe that players are actually wearing (at least before the Clippers chocked and got bounced). Guess it doesn’t have the curse of the “Elite” title. You can actually find the regular 2’s for around $80 now. I even saw one shown at a Nike Outlet for under $50. A bit more bang for your buck.

  5. I got them in wolf grey for just £71 which is quite good, only worn them once or twice seemcool to me,can anyone tell me the diff with the PO bit? cheers

  6. I’m going to start playing ball again with my friends. I can’t get the review video to load, which I’ll try again later. We’ll mostly be playing outdoors for now, maybe indoor too, but not as much. Would you recommend these shoes or the Jordan SC-3?
