Jordan Jumpman Pro Retro Black/Gold | Detailed Look and Review

The OG Black/Gold colorway of the Jordan Jumpman Pro Retro for 2017 is the first to hit retailers nationwide.

It took 20 years, but I finally have a pair of the Black/Gold Jumpman Pros. The materials are similar to that of the Black/Red Retro that we reviewed [here] so don’t get your hopes up. However, the synthetic nubuck feels nice to the touch and looks better than the cheap synthetic leather that was used on the toe. Gold branding sets things off in a positive direction until you turn the shoe over and see the fake carbon fiber shank. Good thing that’s on the bottom of the shoe because I definitely wouldn’t want to be staring at that all day long while wearing them.

Tech specs include a forefoot Zoom Air unit and a heel EVA pad. The OG featured full-length Zoom Air and an actual carbon fiber spring plate.

If you wanted a detailed look and review of the Black/Gold version of the Jordan Jumpman Pro then you can do so by checking out the video below. If you were interested in grabbing a pair they’re available now at FinishLine.com.

  1. These are sexy, on-sale I’ll pick ’em up, Jordan shouldn’t ask premium-prices for a budget-shoe anymore, those days are over.

  2. The shoe looks so nice on camera but disappointed that they didn’t meet the standards anticipated. I can almost feel the disappointment coming from you in the tone of the vid. It’s a darn shame they couldn’t do this model right.

  3. NW, you said you got these from finishline as retail versions? goodness, they look pretty much like bad versions or poor quality replicas. from the funny jumpman logo, fake carbon fiber design, to the upper materials and cushion. for $140, these are damn rip-offs. like rip-off products sold at a rip-off price. what the hell.
