Jordan Brand looks to get into the running inspired lifestyle look by paying homage to the Air Jordan 4 with the Fly ’89.
It looks as if Jordan Brand as taken some of the most prominent design elements from the Air Jordan 4 and placed them on the Jordan Fly ’89.
The iconic lockdown wings, paint splatter midsole and rear back tab of the beloved AJ4 is making its way onto a lifestyle sneaker that looks like a cross between the Nike Lunarcharge and Nike Roshe Run. Makes sense. Yeah, not really.
This lightweight pair of kicks sports a neoprene bootie upper with synthetic overlays. Cushion is not listed anywhere on the shoe so we wont be surprised if these end up retailing for $140 without any cushion at all. However, we can’t help but think of a Lunar based shoe when looking at the outsole so Jordan Brand may surprise us with the use of Lunar foam. Fingers crossed.
@FootLockerEU states these will be available exclusively at the Europe storefronts beginning April 13. It’s unlikely the Jordan Fly ’89 remains an overseas exclusive so feel free to speculate as to if/when the shoe will release Stateside.
Anyone feeling the Jordan Fly ’89? Good mix of new and old or would you rather keep classic design elements on the classics?
