Jordan Brand is Making Runners Out of the Retro Line…Again

Jordan Brand is back at it again, mixing the Retro legacy line with runner tooling, and this time around they’re doing it with the Jordan Trainer Prime.

We saw this a few years back when Hybrids were the trend, and witnessed Retro models being fused with classic Air Max tooling. It looks like they are taking a more performance-oriented approach this time because the tooling used is from the Jordan Flight Runner with an upper build similar to the Air Jordan 12. The upper itself uses modern materials and fuse overlays in replace of the leathers that don the Retro line, along with an inner bootie sleeve.

For training purposes, these look nice. Obviously, most would rather rock the Retro 12 casually, but these are decent alternatives for those wishing to wear a “Retro” no matter what they’re doing.

No word on when these will release, but expect to see them available early 2017. We’ll keep you updated on release and pricing information as soon as it’s available. In the meantime, share your thoughts on the Jordan Trainer Prime below.

  1. Lol

I’d actually rock them: i need light and cushioned kicks for my knees.

But in general the retros are getting butchered again

  2. I hate that they do this but JB has done hybrids for so long its just part of the brand at this point. wish they would at least use an innovative tooling if they had to do it. make it actually nice. reusing the same lame tooling over and over is a bad look

  3. Jordan 12 + Jordan Trainer 1 Lows + Jordan Flight Runner = These

Honestly they actually look pretty nice. Id rock them

    1. most people, especially young ones are idiots ! so who cares. usually these idiots say that out of envy. when idiots call you out, I would just say, yeah, I’m wearing good-looking fakes while you are wearing garbage. lol.
