Jordan Brand Introduces the Formula 23

Jordan Brand has unveiled its newest off-court model, the Formula 23, which is inspired by the classic Air Jordan X.

The Formula 23 from Jordan Brand uses an engineered mesh upper with a neoprene collar that is inspired by the Air Jordan 10’s design, as well as an injected Phylon foam midsole for a lightweight cushion setup.

“An Injected Phylon (IP) unit in the midsole provides lightweight cushioning and a sculpted surface. A solid rubber outsole cage enhances traction and durability, while the cored-out sections provide depth and dimension to reduce weight and enhance flex.”

“The upper webbing and gore lace accents nod to the Air Jordan X, while a synthetic leather mudguard connects to the laces and provides lockdown and lateral support. A neoprene collar provides a comfortable, one-to-one fit.” – Jordan Brand

The Jordan Formula 23 releases today on Jordan.com and at select retail stores like Finish Line for $120.

  1. Meh – next 😉

But seriously though: JB is running out of ideas – This is an okay model which will end up heavily discounted
(Andi used to own 20+ pairs of.j’s back in the day)

    1. Nobody buys JB’s “new” stuff, nobody buys their stuff inspired by the “old” stuff. People seem like they have retro fatigue. It seems like “they” don’t know what they want.

  2. I think they are pretty cool, but not cool enough for 120. I would much rather pick up a pair of adidas EQTs or maybe alpha bounces too for cheaper. Nice shoes, but should be like 75-90$ retail price.

  3. Its not overly hideous, but there is absolutely nothing interesting about this shoe whatsoever. why would I get this over numerous better looking lifestyle models with better cushioning and materials? This is one of those shoes that I don’t know why they bothered to make it in the first place.

  4. I think the reason why they don’t lower the prices that much is to maintain the value of their branding.

  5. Atrocity. A Jordan Brand shoe without an air unit, seems like an oxymoron. Uninspired bs, yet again from “the Brand”.

  6. Jordan Presto? Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes I do think Nike should figure “screw it” and show a clear direction of Jordan Brand’s tiers and/or equivalence. Adds some clarity to what each product is trying to be, vs looking like some random attempt to hash something out.

Honestly, if this was implied as a Jordan take on the Presto, it’d spark fascination for me. It’s like when Y-3 does its take on Adidas silhouettes.

  7. How can I clean the shoes?? } I have white formula 23’s and don’t know how to clean them pls help!
