A Detailed Look at the adidas Dame 3 ‘Blackout’

Get a detailed look at the adidas Dame 3 ‘Blackout’ prior to its release.

Most hoopers enjoy when a top performer finally releases in a blackout colorway, and the Dame 3 by adidas is no exception.

Featuring a Fuse Mesh upper, Bounce midsole, and a synthetic lacing system that is customizable to the wearer — the adidas Dame 3 is one of this year’s top performance models and they retail for well under the “premium” $150 that most shoes are sold for. It’s hard to say whether or not the Dame 3 will make it onto the end of the year’s top performance picks since it’s only February, but that does not discredit the fact that they are very solid on-court.

This version of the shoe is scheduled to release February 17 for $115 for anyone that is interested.

      1. No problem! On a side note, do you or anyone know how long it takes for Bounce to flatten out? I don’t play ball a whole lot. I’m currently using the Kobe 8. Yes the 8 lol. The inserts are practically flat.

I’ve been thinking about the Dame 3, Harden 1, or the Crazy explosive low. I land a lot on the front of my feet most of the time so I don’t know how well the Dame and Harden would work out.

        1. if you don’t play a lot and aren’t using them 3 or 4 days a week, i wouldn’t worry about it at all, i think bounce is a pretty durable compound, i’ve been using the first alphabounce colorway to run, lift and jump rope for nearly a year now, and the cushion still feels amazing….
as far as which shoes to purchase, my own personal preference is
          harden >dame 3 > crazy explosive
the explosive is a great shoe when my legs are tired and i need something more forgiving on a day late in the week, but the harden is my go to shoe without question, it’s quick, low to the ground, the boost provides more than adequate impact protection (i don’t really get when people complain about it not being ‘soft’ enough, i think it feels perfect, and i don’t really think about how ‘soft’ a cushion is when i’m curling off a screen or eurostepping anyway), really stable and sturdy shoe….only problem is that the traction is probably an a- at best, b+ at worst, the dame 3 has *slightly* better traction i think, though the grooves are so thin that you would also need to wipe often

          1. oh, i should also say that the fit in the explosives is somewhat better than either of the other two (the harden has a tiny bit of heel slip, the dame also, plus the lace pressure on the dames can be a bit painful), they are more comfortable after long periods of time, even the non-primeknit version…..

          2. Thanks for the answer! I was definitely thinking about the Harden’s the most cause Nightwing said they’re basically the Kobe 8 with boost and a toe cap. I just need to get in and try them on somewhere.

    1. Its almost a guarantee that there will be a PK version of the Dame 3. The question is will there be a boost version. I love both but I wish they make a Dame 3.5 and give us a less radical looking tongue.
