Countdown to Nike Kobe X Unveiling Pt. 3

The latest teaser from Nike Basketball regarding the Nike Kobe X boasts maximum traction and acceleration at every angle… something I hope is true. We all know that the traction looks a little sketchy on the Kobe X, so I know I’m keeping my fingers crossed that its a viable on-court option.

Based on what you’ve seen so far; what are your initial thoughts on the Kobe X’s potential in the traction department?

  1. Looked sketchy just like the D Rose 5 but I guess I was wrong there. I wouldn’t doubt the Kobe 10 due to great traction from the 8 and amazing traction from the 9. I mean, it is Kobe and at 180 it better be good hah

  2. Peeps need to keep in mind that the “Real” Kobe Xs are the Elites now, Flyknit “Highs & Lows” (going by last years 9s run) Nikes way of increasing the price without mentioning it. lol these pics of these “Blue lagoons & All Stars” are basically the Kobe 9 EMs from last year, witch didn’t sell to well at all cause the Elites were a lot better. IMO of course.

    1. I have all versions of the Kobe 9s and they’re the same shoe other than the EMs breathing a bit better and the lows ease of getting on/off. The EXTs are probably an exception because I’ve never done more than shoot around in them, but I did see Wes Matthews of the Trailblazers ball in the Red Mambas.

You must mean “Better in sales”.

  3. The traction doesnt look like it will hold up well in dusty indoor court where i always play at sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
