Brandblack Lando ‘Burgundy’ – First Impressions + Detailed Look

brandblack-lando-1

One of Brandblack’s latest lifestyle models, the Lando, was released just a few weeks ago. Brandblack was kind enough to send a pair out – –  and I never win contests! It would be uncivilized not to give you readers a detailed look at the shoe in case anyone was curious about it.

The Brandblack Lando, seen below in ‘Burgandy’, features premium leather throughout the entire upper. The shoe features no laces, but instead opts for two velcro straps, one across the midfoot and one around your ankle. The two straps work in tandem to provide a customized fit. Inside is a neoprene bootie to provide some soft comfort. Underfoot is a one-piece injected Jetlon outsole — there is no traditional rubber outsole here.

The design for the Brandblack Lando may not catch everyone’s eye immediately, but coming from personal experience, the shoe definitely grows on you more and more once you see them in person. The Burgundy also looks more of a dark brown in some lighting, but in others you could also see the red tones come through.

I hope you enjoy my detailed and on-foot shots. Let us know — did you get a pair? What you think about the shoe? Let me know.

The Brandblack Lando is available now on Brandblack.com for $130 in Burgundy, Wheat, Black, and Navy.

  1. Any heel slippage? True to size? I have a slightly narrow foot. — I do know that Jetlon is heavenly though as I do have the suede No-Names.

    1. When I first tried the shoe on, I had some heel slippage but that’s before I knew there were two straps. The heel strap really makes the heel area wider or smaller depending if you have thicker ankles or not. Then the midfoot strap really takes care of keeping your foot on the footbed if you pull it tight enough

  2. Those do look better in these pics. Great job. It does show the colors better. Are they TTS? It looks like the outsole is like a cream color too.
