BAIT and Diadora are finally releasing their last Dreamworks collaboration and this one draws inspiration from Skeletor of Masters of the Universe, an ’80s animated series.
Following the past releases, this shoe flaunts premium materials and a well-executed theme. The deep purple of Skeletor’s “outfit” (he’s scantily clad) hits the heel and forefoot in velvet suede while premium nubuck and leather take care of the rest of the upper. Produced in Italy, the entire sneaker sits atop a translucent purple ice outsole. As with most quality Diadora releases, the tongue features embroidered classic branding.
For this release, Skeletor artwork hits the unique insoles and the Masters of the Universe theme carries over to the box. Lace options include deep purple, Skeletor blue, and two-tone rope laces.
The BAIT x Dreamworks’ Masters of the Universe x Diadora N.9000 ‘Skeletor’ will release on August 13 at all BAIT locations and via online raffle. Retail is set at $220 and this collab will see a limited run of only 400 pairs. To enter the raffle, click here.
