We all know Asics has been making shoes forever. In recent years, Ronnie Fieg collabs dramatically increased the brand’s presence in the industry. However, people tend to forget Asics is a storied brand with a history that dates back to 1949 with Onitsuka Co. With the summer already half-way over, it was only a matter of time before the brand showcased its newest silhouettes. The latest from Asics is the Gel-Kenun.
The Gel-Kenun, designed for comfort, durability, and versatility, features Asics’ Gel technology at the heel which should provide impact protection and a smooth transition. A streamlined upper that utilizes seamless construction and OrthoLite lasting is also here.
Moreover, the shoe features an OrthoLite sockliner for step-in comfort coupled with a SoLyte midsole, a lighter weight compound than Asics standard EVA and SpEVA. This shoe is made for those that under pronate on their runs.
