The Asics Gel Lyte V has gotten the water resistant treatment! “Down with icy soles, we want Gore-Tex!” seems to be what Asics has proclaimed with the new Asics Gel Lyte V Gore-Tex. Bodega and Asics have teased their latest collaboration that also features Gore-Tex. This one rocks a mostly purple mesh and Gore-Tex upper with orange accents on the eyestay and heel midsole. The off-white eggshell midsole really does it for me and sets this shoe apart. Some speckling hits the midsole, as well as rope laces and a Gore-Tex branding tab to tie everything together (pun intended). The black outsole contrasts nicely against the off-white midsole giving this shoe a look all its own. Gore-Tex is a good look and interesting alternative to leather, suede, or other materials.
