Last week we got a look at Under Armour’s newest Curry-inspired lux model, the Primo, and now we get an update to what is arguably one of the most comfortable shoes on the market: the Under Armour Fat Tire. While these models appeared in the UK last month, as we reported here (the Onda is the Spec Ops over there), they haven’t made an appearance stateside – until now.
The original model, according to sources, was the “choice of Under Armour NBA players for off-court comfort,” and after trying them on, WearTesters can see why. Super-soft and thick cushioning (yes, it is Charged) and thickly padded uppers made them feel like bouncy slippers. However, the looks…
Now, UA has rethought the design and brought us the new Fat Tire Mid and Onda. Both feature leather touches around the ankles (UA leather feels reaaaally good) and mesh uppers, with the Onda opting for a sleeker, street look and the Mid keeping the rugged, trail-hugging style.
Pricing for the Fat Tire Onda, the more premium of the two, will be $175, while the Mid will be $160, and both models should be in retailers nationwide very soon — just in time for winter. Quantities are limited, so if they look good, grab them. And if you do grab them, let us know what you think. If you don’t like them, let us know what you think too (the Mid is catching my eyes).
