Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Columbia/ Legend Blue’ – Official Look + Release Info

The first ‘Remastered’ Air Jordan Retro release is almost here!

The Columbia Air Jordan 4, which like the Columbia 11 has officially adopted the name Legend Blue for copyright reasons, returns in all of its tumbled leather glory. Originally a 1999 Retro+ release (meaning it was a new, non-OG colorway), these got away from the traditional Air Jordan 4 a bit by replacing both the plastic wings and mesh panels with leather for a more premium lifestyle feel. We’ve been hearing a lot about the Remastered Air Jordan Retros, and if these pictures are any indication we should be in for a real treat.

These will release on Saturday, January 10th. Although it was initially rumored that Remastered Retros would retail for $185, Nike has these listed for $190. Check out a full range of images below, and be sure to let us know whether you’ll be looking out for these. Feel free to comment your thoughts on the entire Remastered idea!

  1. Will reserve remastered judgement until they do an og colorway and butcher the shape, Mess up the netting, and crack master paint job.

If nike air returns on the back it will be Too small.

    Don’t believe me just watch

  2. I wish people would stop falling for this shit, Idc how remastered the shoe is, 190?!?!? Not only do they overcharge you by about $40 they also make it so you have to be up at a certain time an them get lucky enough to add it to the cart because of the limited quantities. Until people stop buying though the prices will continue to grow, if they could charge almost nothing for jordan 1’s back then, with better technology to make the shoe now it shouldn’t be 190

  3. Well, I simply refuse to spend two bills on the new plastic bullshit being disguised as “performance beasts” coming out of Beaverton, stuff like LeBron’s new joints, KD’s sleds that even he refuses to wear, and Kobe’s crocheted shoes. I like leather shoes to play in, and while I hate the price increase, these are right up my alley. But again, I look at what Nike is charging for plastic, these are looking incredibly attractive to me, “tech” be damned.

Tech ain’t never made anyone a better ballplayer, but a good solid leather shoe lasts a good long time.

    1. Sec-
The greatest trick Beaverton ever played was to make us believe that plastic shoes are “premium” and they will somehow turn a mediocre player into an AAU all-star. Durability > All

    2. Tech defintly can improve your play, better traction and better cushion are a big help, they wont turn you into kobe kd but they do help and kd doesnt wear his shoes because of his foot injury he needs special insoles that wont fit in the kd 7 but will in the kd 6 -.-

    3. And the “plastic bullshit” you speak of arn’t called performance beast shoes like the jordan xx9 with a woven upper and melo m11 with a leather upper are the performance beast.
It’ll be a cold day in hell before i play in retros but everyone is different, gonna be tough to cop though.

      1. If you think that shoes make your game better, then more power to you.

However, how the shoe fits is what is most important for me, and durability is next on that list, and style follows all that. Nothing used today lasts as long as a good, well made, leather hoops shoe. I am into value, not hype, so this isn’t coming from a sneakerhead perspective, this is coming from the experience of appreciating shoes that you can wear both indoors, and then out. The modern crap that people are calling “performance beasts”, will melt down if you wear them outdoors during consecutive runs, which speaks to true value, or lack thereof. This is also why I do not understand why Kobe’s shoe should retail at two bills, and let’s not even get into what happens if someone steps on a pair of these flywire/mesh/sillyputty sneakers, then witnessing a pair ripping in half.

However, I as encouraged by the new Carmelo write up by Duke, and I do like a few of the retro’s that Reebok has released as well, throwbacks, from when price was dictated by durability, the quality of materials used, not hype and performance suggestions that are nothing but hyperbole.

PS: do not believe that lie about KD, that is not why he isn’t wearing those shoes, because he didn’t wear the Elite version of his shoes last season either. Nike is in the habit of making shoes that do not fit their two athletes these days, as per LeBron not wearing his sig much of the past season.

        1. As you said you are into certain things so the shoe has to match everyone’s personal criteria, I personally won’t hoop in retroes because to me when putting on my Jordan 4 or 12’s and then putting on my rose 5 or Jordan xx8 the feeling is much different and more comfortable for me but I can see why people would prefer leather over synthetics that’s normally where melo comes in as his past 2 shoes have featured great material but I just can’t hoop in a retro lol ️an kd’s elites last year were just terrible , I got them early August because they were on sale for 100 ️an wow that was bad especially since they are “elite”. I will see I love playing in the Jordan 13’s but if I consistently wore them they would get minor scratches or marks slowly an after a month I wouldn’t feel right wearing them casually anymore 🙁
