For the 2017 NCAA basketball postseason, adidas unveiled the Create Yours uniform collection.
For those who have forgotten which teams comprise the adidas collegiate basketball roster, they are: Arizona State University, Indiana University, University of Kansas, University of Louisville, University of Miami, Mississippi State University, North Carolina State University, University of Nebraska and Texas A&M.
According to adidas, the 2017 Create Yours uniforms utilize a re-engineered mesh fabric designed for better breathability and feature French terry wipe-zones for additional sweat management. The new unis flaunt design elements that honor each team’s identity and school history.
For the first time ever, both the men’s and women’s teams will gear up in new uniforms for the postseason. The women’s jerseys have strategically placed black trim at the bottom of the garments while the men’s pieces have team slogans at the bottom of each jersey’s side.
Wearers of the new NCAA uniforms will lace up special editions of the Harden Vol. 1, Dame 3, and Crazy Explosive in their school colors with team graphics pictured beneath the icy outsoles.
Fans can grab their favorite team’s gear at adidas.com and campus retailers now.
Arizona State University
The sunbeam print on the men’s shorts is inspired by the iconic Arizona desert sunrise and the team’s Pitchfork logo. The men’s jersey reads, “Go Devils” on the inside of the neck and “Fear the Fork” towards the bottom. The women’s jersey reads “Give ‘em Hell!” while the shorts have “Sun Devils” down the side.
The Hoosiers will don uniforms inspired by the candy-striped warm-ups made famous in the early 70s by legendary head coach Bob Knight. The tonal Victory Red and white pattern along the waistband is reminiscent of the championship banners that hang in Assembly Hall. The back of the men’s shorts and the inside of the jerseys honor the team’s five national titles with five embroidered stars and a call out of the championship years respectively, while the inside of the women’s jersey reads “Hoosier Nation.”
University of Kansas
The team with the loudest arena in college hoops will sport uniforms branded with KU’s famous chant, “Rock Chalk Jayhawk” on the bottom edge of each jersey. The men’s jersey pays homage to the team’s three national titles with a list of the championship years inside the neck of the jersey and the women’s jersey features color blocking on the shoulders. The women’s shorts feature red trim running down the side of the shorts whereas the bottom of the men’s shorts is trimmed in red.
University of Louisville
The trim on the men’s and women’s jerseys proudly states the school rallying cry, “Louisville First, Cards Forever.” The inside of the men’s jersey lists the team’s championship years and the men’s and women’s shorts feature a wing print inspired by the cardinal mascot.
University of Miami
The shorts feature a hurricane print, inspired by the city’s weather. The piping on the women’s jersey reads, “It’s about The U”. The inside neck of the men’s jersey reads “The U” and “#itsallabouttheu.”
Mississippi State University
The men’s and women’s shorts feature a cowbell print and the Bulldog logo is featured prominently on the leg. The slogan on the women’s jersey reads, “true maroon” and the men’s jersey reads, “this is our state” both inside the jersey and along the bottom side seams.
NC State University
The Wolfpack’s shorts sport both a wolf claw mark print along the side and the logo. The waistband of the men’s shorts reads “PACK” and a two-color taping is featured down the side. The women’s jersey displays “Wolfpack” along the bottom hem and the piping down the side of the men’s jersey reads, “Go Pack.”
University of Nebraska
The Cornhuskers’ shorts are a nod to the warm-ups worn during Nebraska’s most successful run in the 90s and the iconic voltage print runs down the side. The special trim on the bottom of the women’s jersey says “Husker Power” and the side of the men’s jersey towards the bottom reads “Husker Nation” along a customized trim.
The tonal star print pattern along the bottom hem of the Aggies’ shorts are a tribute to the history of the Lone Star State. The men’s jersey has five stars representing the five titles the team won and the inside of the vent on the jersey’s bottom reads “Gig ‘Em” as a nod to one of the school chants.
