adidas Unveils the UltraBOOST Cleat & UltraBOOST 3.0 ‘Silver Pack’

adidas UltraBoost Cleat and UltraBoost 3.0 Silver Pack 13

It looks as if the adidas Yeezy 350 cleat was just the beginning because the brand has unveiled the UltraBoost cleat alongside the UltraBoost 3.0 in what’s been dubbed the ‘Silver Pack’.

I’m not into football, but I have to admit — I want to hold the UltraBoost cleat in-hand so I can see what a Boost sockliner looks and feels like. The official tech specs for the UltraBoost cleat are:

UltraBOOST Cleat
Merging sneaker and football cleat design and innovation, the UltraBOOST Cleat redefines fit, feel and lightweight construction to help provide the gridiron’s fastest and most intimidating athletes with the perfect blend of style and technology for elite performance.

Crafted from one of the brand’s most iconic running shoes, the adidas UltraBOOST Cleat features a Primeknit one-piece bootie construction that is engineered to naturally move with the foot on the field and help provide a comfortable, precision fit with maximum breathability.

A midfoot cage, welded into the upper, wraps around the foot to provide a lockdown feel for multidirectional movement and control, while a reinforced toecap helps provides structure and protection during plants and cuts. The trademark UltraBOOST heel clip construction cradles the heel to help keep the foot centered over the top of the plate during acceleration and stopping.

A BOOST sockliner helps provide comfort and further reduces cleat pressure, while an all-new RAZORFRAME provides torsional rigidity and features strategically placed SPRINTSTUDS designed to provide peak performance and multi-directional strength and traction.

Yeah, imagine a Boost insole that you can put in any shoe. How awesome would that be?

As for the adidas UltraBoost 3.0 ‘Silver Pack’, it’s an UltraBoost 3.0. It features a redesigned Primeknit upper along with the classic UltraBoost tooling that we’ve all come to know and love. I’m still not used to the translucent cage they’ve got going on, but maybe I’ll get used to it soon.

There was no release information given within the press release so stay tuned for updates on when and where you can grab these once they launch. In the meantime, share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.
