Taking cues from other brands, adidas and D Rose plan to introduce more lifestyle sneakers to the public to give the Rose Brand a life off the court.
According to adidas; “adidas and Derrick Rose introduce the D Rose Lakeshore Boost. The D Rose Lakeshore line pays homage to the picturesque expressway in Chicago while meeting the off-court footwear needs of Derrick Rose.”
They look clean as hell, and I love the Gum bottoms. Plus the entire midsole is Boost so you know they’ll be comfortable.
The D Rose Lakeshore Boost offers the ultimate combination of style and comfort. It features a luxurious upper and unmatched comfort with a full length Boost midsole. Built for Chicago winters, the upper material is rugged leather with added padding around the heel for increased comfort. Additional details include a debossed D Rose logo on the lateral side, boot laces and a metal boot lacing eyelet at the top of the shoe. – adidas
Now, if we could only get some premium materials like this on the on-court models… that’d be something to behold.
The D Rose Lakeshore Boost is going to be available 12/1 for $130 at adidas and Foot Locker.
IMO these look better than Lebron XII Lifestyle.

I understand this may not be a popular opinion, but I can not stand the D-Rose logo. It ruins the entire shoe for me every time. As I try to understand why I don’t like it, I come to the conclusion that it is just too descriptive to be a great shoe logo. I feel it was designed more to be clever and literal (the D, and the “rose”) than to fit into the design of the shoe. Take a look at the largest shoe brands Nike, Adidas, Asics, Reebok and even New Balance (there is a reason the N is italicized). You will find logos that incorporate the physical design of the shoe. Are the rules different for a signature shoe? Nike does not think so. They incorporate these descriptive personality logos as an accent and not a focal point. There is a reason Nike is the top dog and that reason is design.

So true, all this sneakerboots are for people who don’t get snow in the winter. You want a boot, Nike’s meriwether posite or lunarterra arktos got you covered. They look great, but they ain’t no sneaker.

I like the gum soles on the D Rose Lakeshore, but the upper on the Rocket Boost boots wins it IMO.
$130 is like $10 more than the Pure Boost. I might be in when I give it the in person style check. Look at the thickness of the Boost there, it’s ice cream sandwich thick like the Pure Boost. For those who haven’t worn them, those joints are the most comfortable ever and you will reach for them all the time.
These are nice. Might go the employee store here in pdx to get a pair.
