adidas Originals Mutombo Black/ White – Available Now

Here we have a look at a brand new colorway of Dikembe Mutombo’s first adidas silhouette.

This shoe applies the traditional Congo-inspired pattern we’re used to on the Mutombo in a different way. For the most part, these sport a clean black and white look, mixing patent leather and Nubuck throughout. On the collar and tongue, however, the original square pattern is applied in a splotchy, abstract way. The pattern is applied in white to the black collar, with yellow accents adding the only real hits  of color on the shoe. It’s an interesting take, and it leaves the main part of the upper feeling a little bare.
