  1. Good find by Zak. These look like performers. Can’t wait to try the new Adidas bounce cushioning. I also like that fact that you can get the top tech shoes from Adidas and UA and not be charged a arm and a leg.

      1. You can’t possibly know what you’re talking about.
The traction pattern is the thinnest I’ve seen on any shoe ever.
That is the farthest thing possible from bang for buck

        1. The shoes are currently $88 shipped with the code HURRY20 on adidas and will be a FAR better performer than the $140 Nike Hyperdunk….how is that not a bang for your buck.

        2. Bang for your buck describes the amount of tech and playability a shoe offers vs another while considering the price. Even without the discount applied, these are a bang for your buck model, much like the Curry One.

      1. Still looking for an indoor court in my area. The city set up new asphalt/rubber/concrete outdoor courts which are murder on thin outsoles. Court: rubber-like material for grip and a little give when a player falls, sidelines: asphalt, and sits on a bed of concrete surrounded by tall fences. Still have the Air Raids and waiting for Brandblack to release a new outdoor pair. This pair is for style. They remind me of the LeBron IIIs.

  2. These seem like they should be great. Really interested in what direction this team model will go in its been inconsistent but maybe the Englewoods will follow this release.

  3. i wish that these had more durable looking traction. i would’ve gotten them for sure. These are way too shallow and thin.

    1. You’re right. Probably not a good outdoor option, dust will likely get clogged quickly indoors due to the shallowness, but we will have to see.

      1. But I love the design for some reason. Lol! Catch 22 I guess. I’m really looking forward to the Rose 6. I hope that it is a well rounded model. I’ll be getting those for sure.

    2. Read my post below man. I really wanted a pair of these too. I wanted to use them as an occasional outdoor shoe, but no way can I get them if the traction is that thin and pliable.

I’m really disappointed as I like the looks of these.

  4. I was all set to buy a pair of these to use as an occasional outdoor shoe, but from the sounds of that traction, it wouldn’t even be suitable for one day outdoors. I also wanted to get a pair so I can try out Adidas’ Bounce cushioning. Really disappointing if what the above poster said is true about the traction being so thin. It is bang for you buck, but you’ve also got to consider that if it wears out quickly then you have to buy another pair, which then defeats the purpose of it being “bang for you buck” in the first place.

Also, why do brands insist on having paper thin traction that is very pliable that wears away quickly these days? Can’t they make it a little bit more thicker and non-pliable? Surely it wouldn’t affect performance that much, would it? 90s shoes seemed to have a pretty good balance of being able to use them both indoors and outdoors.

It makes me wonder if thin, very pliable traction like these apparently have is purely for performance reasons indoors, to give the shoe the best possible traction indoors, or is it so it wears out quickly and the customer has to spend more money to buy a new pair of shoes in a shorter time frame. I hope that is not their main reasoning for it.

    What do you guys think?

  5. Darn, I’ve got a couple of typos in there. This passage should read : It is bang for your buck in the literal sense, but you’ve also got to consider that if it wears out quickly then you’d most likely have to buy another pair of these or another model, which then defeats the purpose of it being “bang for your buck” in the first place IMO.

    1. I understand your complaint here, however I believe adidas made these strictly for indoor use. I will have a first impressions video coming tomorrow on my YouTube channel, stay tuned for that so you can get a closer look at them.

      1. Yeah, thanks. I’ll still check out you video. It won’t make me feel better about the traction being soft as s#$% though j/k.

        1. Edit : I’m also really interested to see what Bounce cushioning is about. Any idea if it’s a new tech from Adidas? Nightwing mentioned something about them using a tech with the same name in their shoes years ago, but I’m not sure if it’s the same tech or not? I don’t think it is, is it?

          1. I got the shoes in today and I’m very impressed to say the least…especially with the bounce cushioning.I wIll have an Initial thoughts video up tonight, stay tuned!
