Love what Long7 has been doing for a long time in deconstructing pristine condition shoes. These pictures should shut those idiots up about not having full length boost despite it being encased in EVA.
Exactly what I was thinking…It is obviously there to function the same way that lunar foam does…what trips me out is that you’re sitting right on top of the boost…my thinking was there was some sort of primer other than the insole…good shit
agreed re being on top of the boost…i pulled out the stock insole so I could insert my orthotics, and i was really surprise to see the boost right there. awesome.
I didn’t like the stock insert at all since it seems to take away some of the comfort that a regular PU insole gives. I’m not sure what Adidas was trying to achieve by putting a cheap thin insert.
They sangre you to be as close as posible to the boost instead of the insole
And if you go to the Long7 website you will see even more pics of the deconstruction process, and there you get to see that the back portion of the boost foam is the size of 10 renbi coins (which is 18.6mm in height), almost twice as much than the lunar foam on the Kobe and the forefoot is pretty much the same as the Kobe’s. Also the boost foam lasts longer than lunarlon : )
Just imagine if Adidas makes a drop in boost midsole, wow !
