adidas D Rose 5.0 ‘Teal’ – Another Look

adidas has rolled out their Boost tech in the latest Crazy Light model, but its the D Rose 5.0 that has us all excited to see what Boost can really do in a hoop shoe.

Here is another look at the Teal colorway, which looks pretty nice if you ask me. I’m not a huge fan of the shiny synthetic uppers but that aside… the colorway is a nice one. I still can’t get over how nice this shoe looks aesthetically… it might be the best adidas has done since the 90’s era. Lets just hope that traction isn’t a huge letdown.

    1. Retail should be still that.
Agree with everyone regarding the traction.
If the traction works well on indoors and outdoors it would be something remarkable.
Torsional Y-bar if I’m not mistaken should function as spring plate go along with the boost.
If that’s the case, it maybe similar though not exactly how Nike’s signature & AJ footwear had carbon spring plate to go along with Heel/ forefoot Zoom.

  1. The traction looks horrible but what is written on the back of the tongue, its probably the color way name

  2. The traction does look shallow, hopefully it grips properly or all that boost tech would go to waste because you can’t play aggressively if you have poor traction.

  3. DAMMIT! IS IT OCTOBER YET?

Probably my least favorite colorway I’ve seen of the 5. The upper material on these reminds me heavily of what the 4’s used. That traction definitely looks Indoor court only. But most of the performance shoes nowadays are so it is what it is. I have a feeling I’m going to end up copping several of the colorways of the 5’s. Just not these.

    1. No need to worry about traction it will be outdoor worry I heard somewhere that Derrick rose said he had been playing in the same pair for months and still would be if he had not given them to some kid

      1. I saw that video too. Derrick said that they are very durable shoes and the same pair almost had that new shoe feeling every time that he put them on.

He probably only uses them indoors though, so I don’t know if you can base whether or not the traction would last outdoors on that.
