adidas D Lillard 2 ‘Black History Month’ is Available Now

Go for the gold in the new adidas D Lillard 2 ‘Black History Month’ shoe.

This BHM sneaker features the number 773 on the tongue, Owens’ bib number during the 1936 Olympics, at which he won four gold medals. Furthermore, Owens’ name is placed on the lace toggle. Before the accolades, Owens became the first African American male athlete to be sponsored by a brand, signing with the Adi Dassler helmed adidas.

The upper looks to be a gold-painted tumbled leather, with a suede used on the eyelets, perfect for anybody used to natural feeling materials. Bounce is used throughout the midsole for a springy feel.

Prepare to step up to the mantle in the adidas D Lillard 2 ‘Black History Month’, which is available at the retailers below for $105:

  1. Just a history lesson: Adolf Dassler(founder of adidas) was a high ranking nazi during the war so I thought it interesting having Jesse Owens(an African-American) as their athlete representative during the olympics

  2. actually, not really. He got a membership because if u didn’t u were denied rights. His case was reviewed by the us army and they passed him as a member but not supporter. Also dassler was friendds with owens and even sponsored him making custom shoes. Also his brother founded puma
