adidas D Lillard 1 ‘New York’

adidas is doing it right with the D Lillard 1.

This particular colorway is dubbed ‘New York’, hoping that Dame makes it to the 2015 All-Star Game. The colorway is basic, but the materials, build and price point are where adidas is getting things right. These remind me of the good ‘ol days when the new D Rose model would release, have a mixture of premium synthetics and viable tech enhancements along with a $110 price point… yeah, the D Rose signature used to retail for just a mere $110. Then adidas though they could bump the price up $50 and that is when they lost their customers.

With the new Dame signature model, they have an opportunity to bring things back to the way things once were, and hopefully be successful. As long as they perform well, I think that is a strong possibility.

Check out Lillard’s hopeful All-Star Game version of his first signature sneaker, and keep your fingers crossed that they release.

    1. Exactly lol, cant really complain about a price of a shoe when its considerably cheaper than the shoes its competing directly against. D Roses line is still going strong and is putting out the best performance models from Adidas by a very wide margin. Also in general signature shoes start out cheaper and as the players brand gets more recognised they increase in prices, which will probably happen with Dame’s next shoes.

      1. Yea ha they all always start off saying “I want my shoes cheap so the kids can afford them” like KD and like rose and they always go up ha but at least they still have the “team sig”

        1. That’s what they really want though. Except it’s not altruistic. It’s about growing the brand. Athletes just like to take credit for it.

  1. He deserves it, but so do about 10 other guards in the West. So I doubt he’ll get in. They’re a stylish pair nonetheless.
