adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016 PrimeKnit | Detailed Look and Review

Another one of our most anticipated hoop shoes of 2016 is in our possession, and it’s the upcoming adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016.

This pair is a SAMPLE that features a PrimeKnit upper. In the video review I go over the differences between the PrimeKnit and regular version that’s set to debut in July. At this point we’re unsure if the PrimeKnit model will be available at retail, but they may be saving it for something special — like the NBA All-Star Weekend or Christmas Day games. Who knows.

Enjoy the detailed look and review below, and be sure to share your thoughts on the adidas CrazyLight Boost 2016 below in the comment section.

  1. Great vid.

In reading on the specs these have less of that “x-bar” piece under the boost compared to the drose and explosion models. My guess is you might feel more of the boost on these. Looking forward to the on court review.

  2. i think they intentionally make the insoles thin enough to make you “feel” more of the boost? either way, cannot wait for the release (and other CW’s/PE’s)

    1. A thicker insole won’t make you feel the boost more or less. They’ve put these cheap insoles in before they went with boost. They’re just cheaper to make.

      1. thanks for the heads up. still can’t wait for the review.
if that shank was black, I’d be staring at Rorschach, or the mask from Scream.

  3. super excited about these and the d rose 7s. can’t wait to get performance reviews on all of the upcoming adidas boost hoop shoes!

  4. So the boost isnt like in ultra boost and pure boost…completely makes sense because it would be very unstable….but does it feel like the nmd boost? Or is it much better? Cause i really hate nmd boost o_o……okay thats all nightwing thanks (btw followed u since the kobe v’s its crazy ive been watching ur videos for almost 5 years…)

    1. not necessarily. what causes the instability in Pure Boost and Ultraboost is the lack of targeted or specified caging and torsional support (e.g. X-Bars and stuff).

  5. Such a bold shoe, looks amazing aesthetically and looks like a performance beast. I’m biased towards knit uppers. They give shoes a custom one to one fit, rather than one size fits all with certain fuse uppers. Additionally, knit uppers just look freakin amazing.

  6. Insanely detailed top to bottom. The dual-compound outsole, selective support from front to back…Even the stripes placement is clever at the heel. Look at them dead on from the back and they make out the brand’s triangular “A” logo, as part of it is out of visible range.

  7. Damn Adidas. Why you got to tease us like this? These are EASILY the best colorway/version of the shoe I’ve seen so far. RELEASE THEM!!!!

Its like Adidas went into my mind
    Full length boost = check
    Low cut = check
    Primeknit upper = check
    Good design = check
    Translucent sole = check
Solid rubber area for high grip areas = check
    Awesome color blocking = check

  8. The look kind of remind me of Trail shoes rather than basketball shoes.. But I trust you NIGHTWING2303.. One question though, which would you prefer on-court, The Lillard 2 or these?

  9. what do you guys think would be the best option in terms of durability (toe-drag protection), the primeknit or the jacquard version?

        1. how to answer an illogical question? hmmmmm…… so tough. sorry, can’t help you with that.

  10. Maaaan. Adidas is testing my patience. I wish it was already July, or when these PK versions release!

  11. These are beautiful shoes. Hopefully they release an all white/wolf grey colorway. They look like they’re going to perform very well too. Nice job adidas.
