Yes, you read that correctly: $200 adidas Crazy Explosive Lows. The adidas Day One SS17 Basketball collection has been unveiled, and it’s…interesting.

The footwear highlighted in the latest collection consist of two subtle Crazy Explosive Lows; both utilize luxurious suede and unique Day One branding.

The Clay Brown/Black colorway sports a two-toned aesthetic that is blacked out at the heel with sandy suede that wraps from the midfoot to forefoot. The second colorway stays almost entirely black with white showing through the medial sides of the midsole and at the adidas branding.

Both colorways can be purchased at UBIQ now.

Lux Day One versions of the adidas Crazy Team are also included in the footwear offerings. The price of that model has also been elevated to $150.

According to Hanon, adidas Day One is a capsule collection that will explore a different aspect of the adidas DNA each season. There are pieces that live at the intersection of sports and leisure, and they are difficult to pin down as lifestyle or performance (but for the price, most people probably won’t be balling in these garments). You can check out the entire adidas Day One SS17 collection at Hanon here.

Is it just me or are you a little shocked at $200 Crazy Explosive Lows when the Low Primeknit is just $140? Thoughts on the latest Day One SS17 collection? Let us know.

    1. $160 is more reasonable although still expensive for middle income person like me but that suede looks nice hopefully the craftsmanship is nice too.

  1. The black and white crazy lows are really nice: something Iverson could have rocked easily. Price a bit steep but nice nevertheless

  2. Well, considering what you get in a $200 Nike….cough Kobe NXT cough…..these are a steal in comparison.

  3. Taking a page out of nikes book….

Shame though. Put a solid outside on that two tone ce low and drop the price to like 140 and that’s an instant cop.

Not a Nike or adidas hater, I like both brands, but just strange to see them both put shoes out for 200 that should be much cheaper. Hopefully these hit clearance racks soon enough.

  4. yeah okay, who in their right mind is going to buy these? the crazy explosive low is a nice looking silhouette, but just because you put some suede and a crazy price tag on them it doesn’t mean that people are going to see them as a sexy off court option
all the primeknit colorways that have dropped look better than these, by the way

  5. They look ok, but not nearly good enough to justify that price increase. Adidas should be careful with the super-expensive prices. Don’t be like Nike and increase the price for some retros and elites, then hike up the price for damn near every shoe. Nike has a lot of sheeples that buy their stuff. Adidas is far from a basketball shoe monopoly , so they should keep it affordable and concentrate on performance.

  6. Didn’t care for them. Didn’t care for the regular Crazy Explosives (primarily because of that shallow traction pattern). Now these ADO’s have dropped 50 % or more: Bang, Bang! Maybe even Bang, Bang, Bang!
