361 Degree Partners with Austin Gyms

361 Degrees USA has established partnerships with gyms and trainers and sponsorship of local races in Austin, TX.

361 Degrees will also make its first official tradeshow appearance at The Running Event (TRE), a leading conference and tradeshow for the running industry, Dec. 1-4, 2015.

“We are very motivated with these new findings and excited to talk to the retail community in depth about them,” says Jim Monahan, president of 361 Degrees USA. “This information proves we can provide a better experience for the consumer mile after mile.  The more we can maintain the overall comfort and performance of a shoe, the happier the runner.”

Beyond the tradeshow, 361 Degrees is unveiling the first of several partnerships in the Austin area with Spark Fitness, a state-of-the-art fitness facility in a premier Austin location.  361 Degrees will have marquee signage throughout the gym focusing on key footwear and its new apparel collection. Featured footwear styles will include the 361-KgM2, 361-Spire and 361-Ortega, all with the innovative QU!CKFOAM technology. Spark Fitness trainers will also be outfitted with product on a regular basis.

Racing will also be a focus of the 361 Degrees Austin-area marketing efforts by way of a partnership with Big Pistachio Race Team. Big Pistachio Race Team is an exclusive team of athletes who enjoy endurance sports, love to race, have loud personalities and are known to make an impact in the Austin and Dallas athletic communities.  361 Degrees will outfit the 34 members with footwear and apparel and provide race kits for 2016. In addition, 361 Degrees will join forces with one of the largest running event promoters in Austin.

“Austin’s fitness community is continuing to grow,” says 361 Degrees USA’s head of marketing Ed Goldman. “It is important for 361 Degrees to focus its grassroots marketing efforts on such an influential city.”

  1. This will help with 361’s branding in the US. Duke said cushioning on their running shoe is solid. Good for 361.
